A musical-documentary memorial

Human Commodity
Man as a commodity

With the Human Commodity app, the Federal Cultural Foundation’s dive-in program in collaboration with the Documentation Centre for Nazi Forced Labor in Berlin, the Ernst Busch Drama School, the Berliner Konzerthausorchester and the Marc Sinan Company are setting new standards. At 99 locations in Berlin, an app with pictures and miniature audio plays commemorates the more than 500,000 forced laborers who suffered under the Nazi regime in Berlin between 1938 and 1945.

The app is designed as a hybrid project: on the one hand, you can visit the locations using a city map and engage with biographical and historical content at historical sites, or you can use it exclusively in virtual space.

Nur Baute designed and developed a comprehensive and convincing brand image for this extensive project. Realized in a website, flyers, posters and brochures, as well as the centerpiece: the Android and iOS apps with all 99 places in Berlin.
