Pantopia Music is a four-year project of the German Federal Cultural Foundation in cooperation with the Ethnological Museum Berlin, the Humboldtforum and the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.

Between 2019 and 2024, the Pantopia Music project developed an international platform for transtraditional and postcolonial music in the digital space. Following the insight that certain forms of tradition and art also need protected spaces to survive on the Internet, the museum and theater created a digital streaming platform with special features.

In addition to lovingly produced audio and video albums, international curators inform their listeners with careful background information on artists, music and culture. At the same time, festivals were held in Berlin, Karlsruhe and in rural areas, where Pantopia Music productions found an audience.

Nur Baute developed the CI and the visual appearance of the project and realized program booklets, flyers and posters. The basic idea of the design is a fair world map, the Autagraph map, which was developed by Hajime Narukawa in 1999. An even division of the spherical surface into 96 triangles, unfolded on one surface, makes it possible to depict distances and proportions in an almost real way and to reduce distortions.
Combined with a diverse color concept and the use of post-colonial fonts, the result is a consistent brand image.
